Clinical Terminology Project

The Project

Xelex.ai (www.xelex.ai) is a leading provider of training data services used in generative AI healthcare applications. Our current project is focused on improving the readability of a set of Office Visit notes.

**Please note**:

The specifications for this project require 1) actively working as a healthcare clinician, seeing patients and documenting the patient encounters; and 2) US-English (i.e. native-born in the US) as a first language. Please do not apply unless you meet these requirements.

Projects are done in batches as needed by the client.  They run in duration from a few days to a few weeks.  There is no set schedule.

Project Description

Tasks vary by project.  Recent project types are:

Upwording

The task involves editing/correcting informally-worded statements found within our set of Office Visit notes with more appropriately-worded statements that better reflect the language more typically used by a healthcare clinician. For example, "hard to catch breath when walking" would be corrected to read "shortness of breath with exertion".  The phrase "high blood pressure" would be corrected to read "hypertension".

Hallucination Identification

The task reading model-generated office visit notes and verifying the factual correctness of the content based on comparison with the provider-patient conversation transcript.  Different types of factual errors (hallucinations) are applied to statements made by the model that are not factually correct.

Qualifications

Candidates need to meet the following qualifications:
1. Actively working as a healthcare clinician, seeing patients and documenting the patient encounters.

2. Native speaker of US-English.
